Huhuang

As the viewing angle changes, a colour undergoes a complete transformation. These mutable colours are sprayed at random across individual planes, forming a space that the viewer can enter.

Conventional habits of reading are set aside. Each viewer receives a visual experience determined by their particular angle of view—an experience different from that of others, and perhaps one the artist himself has never known. Movement continually produces new perceptions and understandings. Every planar object here requires both time and space to be understood: the viewer attempts to reconstruct its spatial condition in the mind, yet can never grasp it in full. Composed together into a complex space, these planes render uncertainty indistinct and uncertain once more. Perhaps at that moment the viewer may arrive at a concrete understanding that is entirely their own, yet remains beyond naming.
