Foreword

Zhang Ga

Wang Yuyang’s oeuvre performs a theatre of entanglements: machines that dream, bacteria that glow, language reincarnated as DNA, and mud aspiring toward consciousness. His works are not mere objects but situations in which the fragile membranes of life converse with the machinic abstractions of code.

The exhibition sets biological, machinic and cosmic forces within a fluid interplay of order and disorder. Against the obsolescence of anthropocentric history and the anxieties of the AI era, the works seek continuance, renewed beginnings and human empathy through chaos, collapse and chance.
