Exhibition introduction
MASSIMODECARLOThe connection between humans and machines is central to the exhibition. The Breathe series turns inanimate objects such as televisions and ATMs into breathing individuals, reconsidering who controls and who is controlled.
Pièce Unique resembles a French self-service bank. Visitors encounter what appears to be a functioning machine, only to find the ATM moving and breathing, turning a familiar relation of use into a dialogue of equality and coexistence.
