Exhibition dossierThe exhibition brings together consciousness, media self-narration, brain-computer interfaces, the life of manufactured objects and dismantled painting. Technology is not an end in itself but a way to alter established relations among objects, images and viewers.

Brain activity produced while imagining an impossible project is converted to direct current and sealed in a battery; consciousness remains unreadable but exists as energy.

A 175-hour papermaking process becomes 15,136,728 frames printed back onto roughly 901 sheets of bark paper, allowing paper to narrate its own production.

A casually drawn curve becomes a visual sequence for a brain-computer interface; viewers who watch it produce a brainwave matching the original line.

A television casing rises and falls as if breathing, turning an everyday device from a controlled tool into an object with signs of life.

Brushstrokes are peeled layer by layer from the canvas and dispersed through the room until the canvas is empty and painting becomes a viewing process.
